On the morning of November 13, an exhibition named “We Are All Dream Seekers: Hong Kong and Macao compatriots salute the 70th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China” started its tour at Macao Tower. The exhibition was hosted by Hong Kong Takung and Wenwei Media Group and co-organized by Nam Kwong, the Macao Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Macao.
Fu Jianguo, president of the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Macao and chairman of the board of Nam Kwong, Chui Sai On, Chief Executive of the Macao SAR, Edmund Ho Hau Wah, vice chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Xue Xiaofeng, deputy head of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Shen Peili, Commissioner of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao SAR, Dou Guojie, director of the political work department of the People’s Liberation Army Garrison in Macao, Jiang Zaizhong, president of Hong Kong Takung and Wenwei Media Group, and Gao Kaixian, president of the Legislative Assembly in the Macao SAR jointly presided over the opening ceremony. Jiang Zaizhong and Ma Youli, president of the Macao Chamber of Commerce addressed the opening ceremony. Nam Kwong vice president Luo Qun, officials from Macao SAR government and representatives of Macao society were present at the event.
Jiang Zaizhong said in his speech that over the past 70 years after the People’s Republic of China was founded, Chinese people, under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee, have surmounted difficulties and forged ahead, the Chinese nation welcomed a leapfrogging development from standing up to getting rich and becoming strong, and sons and daughters of the Chinese nation have embarked on a grand journey of achieving national rejuvenation. At present, the practice of “one country, two systems” principle in Macao is endowed with new historical position in the national development and shoulders new historical mission in the process of national rejuvenation, he said. It was hoped that with the exhibition, the younger generation in Macao would integrate their personal aspirations into the national dream and assume the Chinese dream and responsibility of national rejuvenation.
Ma Youli said some 1,000 precious photos exhibited embodied the grand achievements China has achieved and the patriotism of compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao. Various sectors in Macao contributed to and benefited from the national development, reform and opening up, he said, adding that there participation in various sectors can be found. In prospect, Macao will combine the overall governing power of the central leadership with the highly autonomy of the Macao SAR, as well as the national needs with the strength of Macao as it continues fully implementing the policies of “one country, two systems,” “Macao people governing Macao,” and “high autonomy.”
The exhibition comprises six chapters in 202 sections. After the opening ceremony, Fu Jianguo and Luo Qun introduced the historic mission and contributions made by Nam Kwong at the various stages of national development to attending guests. Representatives of responsible departments and subsidiaries of Nam Kwong participated in the event.
