Group Celebrates the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, the 20th Anniversary of the Return of Macao,the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Group and Releases the New Version of the Reform and Development Strategy

On October 16, Nam Kwong Group held the "Banquet Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, the 20th Anniversary of the Return of Macao, and the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Nam Kwong Group" at Macao Tower. And it officially released the Reform and Development Strategy of Nam Kwong Group (2020-2030) to propose the idea of "Nam Kwong+" Cooperative Development and will extensively work with local enterprises and enterprises at home and abroad to pursue common development.

Guests including Fernando Chui Sai On, the Chief Executive of Macau, Vice Chairman Ho Hau Wah of the CPPCC National Committee, Hao Peng, the Secretary of CPC Committee and Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), Director Fu Ziying of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao S.A.R. (LOCPG), Commissioner Shen Beili of the Commissioner's Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region, Command and Senior Colonel Xu Liangcai of People's Liberation Army Macao Garrison, Secretary Lionel Leong Vai Tac of the Secretariat for Economy and Finance of the Macao SAR Government, Deputy Director Yao Jian of the LOCPG, and Secretary General Peng Huagang, the SASAC, as well as Chairman Fu Jianguo and President Duan Hongyi of Nam Kwong Group jointly presided over the event. Over 500 guests, including relevant leaders of the Macao SAR Government, the SASAC, the LOCPG, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, and Zhuhai City, the Consul General of the Portugal Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macau, and representatives of central enterprises, industrial and commercial circles and relevant associations of Macao, and media, attended the banquet. Hao Peng, Fu Ziying, Lionel Leong Vai Tac, and Fu Jianguo delivered speeches.

Fu Jianguo welcomed all the guests and extend heartfelt thanks to all the partners for their long-term care and support. He pointed out that, in the past seven decades, Nam Kwong went through thick and thin with the country, stood together with Macao through storm and stress, and blaze a thorny yet glorious trail. Nam Kwong its own history. The 70 years witnessed the care and support from all walks of life. Nam Kwong has its own spirit. The Nam Kwong Spirit is epitomized by the wisdom and strength of generations of the Nam Kwong people. Nam Kwong has its own responsibilities. It has contributed to the country and Macao. Nam Kwong has its own future. It cherishes common dreams and hopes for the future. Fu Jianguo held that, Nam Kwong could not have made the achievements without the strong leadership of the central government, the vigorous support of the Macao SAR Government, the guidance of leaders of the SASAC and the LOCPG, the recognition and support of all walks of life of Macao, and the hard work of generations of the Nam Kwong people. Looking ahead, he stressed that, Nam Kwong will write a new chapter with gratitude. It will carry forward its spirit and endeavor to pursue long-term progress. It will shoulder its social corporate responsibilities, strongly support the Macao SAR Government to govern by law, constantly assist Macao in maintaining prosperity and stability, and protect the common home. It will strive to realize its grand blueprint. And it will adhere to the "Nam Kwong+" development concept and join hands with friends from all walks of life to make due contributions to a better future of the motherland and Macao and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Lionel Leong Vai Tac, on behalf of the Macao SAR Government, delivered a speech. He thanked Nam Kwong Group for its long-term and full support for the Macao SAR Government to govern by law and contributions to secure the people's livelihood in Macao. He deemed that, in the past seven decades, Nam Kwong has shouldered the sacred and historical mission of the motherland and made contributions to supporting the return of Macao to the motherland, establishing economic and trade relations with Mainland China, uniting the patriotic force in Macao and China as a whole, and maintaining social prosperity and stability. Since the return of Macao, Nam Kwong has firmly supported and served the policy of "One Country, Two Systems". As a member of Economic and Technology Committees of Macao and leader of industrial and business associations in Macao, Nam Kwong has closely cooperated with the Macao SAR Government to develop the economy, improve people's livelihood, and solve problems. It has always upheld the philosophy of "giving back to the society with the best achievements", led Chinese-funded institutions in Macao to serve and protect the people's livelihood in Macao, and actively participated in the major projects of the SAR. Moreover, it has considered the overall situation, shouldered responsibilities, and had good credit at critical moments, exposed Macao compatriots to the support and care of the motherland, and played an extremely significant role in protecting the welfare of people and the prosperity of the society.

Fu Ziying fully recognized the work of Nam Kwong Group and paid tribute to the Nam Kwong people who are diligent and tough. He expressed that, in the past 70 years, Nam Kwong has taken root in Macao and served thousands of households in Macao in terms of clothing, food, accommodation, and transportation. It has perfectly interpreted the fundamental purpose of Chinese-funded enterprises in Macao—"taking root in Macao, serving Macao". Hence, it has won the trust and praise of the Macao people. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. In the past two decades, backed by the motherland, Macao has rapidly developed its economy, constantly improved people's livelihood, and maintained social stability and harmony. It has demonstrated the successful practice of "One Country, Two Systems" with Macao's own characteristics to the world and fully proved that "One Country, Two Systems" is feasible and supported by the people. He hoped that Nam Kwong would further carry forward the fine traditions of hard work and accountability, support the Macao SAR Government to govern by law with determination, deepen exchanges and cooperation with all sectors of the Macao society, and push the moderately diversified development of Macao's economy. Nam Kwong would firmly enhance the basic fields of people's livelihood, serve the daily life of Macao residents, and make new achievements in the continuous improvement of the people's livelihood. Moreover, Nam Kwong would give play to its role as a bridge, unite Chinese-funded enterprises in Macao, promote the construction of "One Center, One Platform, One Base", and support Macao to integrate into the overall development of the country. He expressed that the LOCPG would continue to support Nam Kwong as always.

Hao Peng congratulated Nam Kwong on its 70th anniversary. He assumed that, in the past 70 years, Nam Kwong Group has always regarded national development and rejuvenation as its own missions. Especially, after Macao's return to the motherland, Nam Kwong has firmly supported the Macao SAR Government to govern by law, extensively united the patriotic force in Macao and China as a whole, and made important contributions to the success of "One Country, Two Systems". He held that President Xi Jinping delivered an essential speech at the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China to deeply praised the great achievements of China in the past seven decades, and resolutely declared the will and determination to continue to consolidate and develop the People's Republic of China. President Xi emphasized that we should stick to the guidelines of "Peaceful Reunification" and "One Country, Two Systems" and maintain long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao. His speech further pointed out the direction and provided a fundamental basis for the practice of "One Country, Two Systems" of Macao and the reform and development of Nam Kwong Group. He hoped that Nam Kwong Group would continue to take root in Macao, integrate into Macao, and develop Macao, give full play to the role as a bridge, adhere to the fine tradition of hard work, and contact more central enterprises and motivate more Macao enterprises to actively integrate the "Belt and Road" Initiative, jointly participate in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, better integrate into the overall national development, and promote the practice of "One Country, Two Systems" to be steady and lasting.

The attendees jointly witnessed the official release of the Reform and Development Strategy of Nam Kwong Group (2020-2030). Based on the history of 70 years, Nam Kwong is facing a new direction and a new start. It will set out on a new journey of reform and development. Nam Kwong Group, under the guidance of President Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, will adhere to the general tone of steady progress and the new development concept, deepen the internal reform, strengthen innovation, perfect system and mechanism, effectively prevent and control major risks, and continuously improve its quality of development. Nam Kwong Group has clarified the strategic vision of "sharing development, improving people's livelihood, and building an internationally competitive state-owned capital investment company". It will consider "serving the country, giving back to society, and helping employees succeed" as its strategic missions, regard "practicing "One Country, Two Systems", constructing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and amplifying the functions of state-owned capital" as its strategic positioning, uphold the concept of "Nam Kwong+" Cooperative Development, and push the strategic layout of "taking root in Macao, integration into Mainland, and expanding the overseas market". It will continue to take root in and serve Macao, improve the quality and level of services of the traditional people's livelihood business, and raise the sense of gain of citizens. Meanwhile, it will actively cultivate and develop strategic and emerging industries and modern service industries, seek breakthroughs in new fields, and boost the diversified economic development of Macao. It will attach importance to supporting the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, actively cooperate with local enterprises, central enterprises, and enterprises in Mainland, seize development opportunities, integrate into the overall development of the country, seek common development, and share mission and glory. Furthermore, it will utilize advantages and advantages of Macao and Nam Kwong, extensively conduct exchanges and cooperation, actively participate in the "Belt and Road" Initiative, support Macao to make new progress in the construction of "One Center, One Platform, One Base", and drive the constant progress of the great practice of "One Country, Two Systems" with Macao's own characteristics highly praised by President Xi Jinping.
