Macao SAR Government Grants the SLM to Nam Kwong Group

According to the announcement by the Macao SAR Government on September 30, Nam Kwong (Group) Company Limited won the Honorable Medal of Silver Lotus Flower (SLM). This is a vital award granted by the Macao SAR Government to individuals and entities that have made significant contributions to the development of Macao. It is reported that this has been the highest honor granted by the Macao SAR Government to enterprises so far. This honor indicates that the government fully recognizes the important historical contributions to Macao of Nam Kwong Group which has taken root in and served Macao.

The year of 2019 marks both the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Nam Kwong. Nam Kwong is at the same age as the motherland. In the past 70 years, Nam Kwong and the motherland have been in fair weather and in foul. In different historical periods, Nam Kwong has made important contributions to the construction, development of foreign trade, and reform and opening up of China. In the 70 years, Nam Kwong and Macao have shared the same fate. It has gone through storm and stress with all circles of Macao. They have grown together, relied on each other economically, become close to each other emotionally, and integrated with each other culturally. Nam Kwong and Macao have become inseparable.

Looking to the future, we will usher in a new era and a new journey. In December 2015, the Macao SAR Government awarded Nam Kwong Group the Order of Merit in Industry and Commerce, the Plaza Restaurant, affiliated to the Group, the Order of Merit in Traveling (OMT), and China Travel Service (Macao) Limited, affiliated to the Group, the O Hoi Fan Order of Merit in Traveling. Earlier, China Travel Service (Macao) Limited won the "OMT" twice in 1991 and 2001, respectively.
